Description

Luxury accommodation perfectly located between the Abel Tasman Park and Nelson. Tatler, the UK society magazine, names Edenhouse in its 2010 Travel Guide as one of the 101 Best Hotels of the World. A gracious residence situated on 48 acres of private grounds, Edenhouse is "our favourite NZ hideaway". US Virtuoso agent. Edenhouse is the only New Zealand property to feature in the prestigious UK House & Garden supplement Hotels by Design, showcasing the most stylish hotels in the world. Edenhouse is featured in Conde Nast Traveller March 2009 edition, "The ultimate guide to where to stay in New Zealand".

"A unique and memorable experience available only to a few". Edenhouse accepts a maximum of 6 guests at a time and single party bookings will be accepted. Guests enjoy spacious rooms with outstanding views and large private bathrooms. The two bedroom suites, in the house, are upstairs and have Super King split beds that can be used as doubles or twins. The third bedroom is located in its own cottage, 40 metres from the house. The cottage sleeps a couple or two individuals and the large upstairs bedroom contains a Super Queen double bed and a King single bed, and Sky TV. The cottage has its own bathroom, sitting and dining area, sun deck and excellent amenities. Guests, however, still have full enjoyment of the comforts of the house. We find that some guests like to stay in the house, whilst others prefer the additional privacy of the cottage. Pure Irish linen sheets and the best quality toiletries are provided in the suites. The landscaped gardens are large, so as well as enjoying the sitting room, formal dining room, artists’ studio, den and library, there are several courtyard areas providing additional places to eat, drink and relax. These gardens are a cool oasis in the summer whilst open fires throughout the house give warmth and atmosphere in the winter months. Breakfast is included in the tariff. The majority of guests choose to eat dinner at Edenhouse and fresh produce, including organic, is always available. Fine local wines are included in the dinner tariff as are pre-dinner drinks and canapés.
