If you dream about such a lifestyle then come and stay at Animal Ark Cottages. Our cottages are 17th century character cottages, set in 4 acres of semi-rural countryside in the quiet hamlet of Kerscott, Swimbridge.
We escaped from the rat race and moved to our own bit of heaven here in North Devon. We spend our days enjoying the 'Good Life' (with all mod cons) and looking after our 'rescued' animals. Some of our animals have been featured on Channel 4 TV's Pet Rescuers. Many have been badly treated in the past and we have re-homed them for the RSPCA, the local Animal Ambulance or owners who have been unable to continue caring for them.
Overlooking the duck pond (fenced in), this 17th century stables has been converted to a spacious 3 bedroomed cottage with many of the original features and beams still retained. Ground floor: lounge with coal burning effect LPG fire and double sofa bed. Large kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Shower room with basin and wc. First floor: three bedrooms (one family room with double and single bed, one with double bed and one with twin beds), bathroom with bath, over bath shower, basin and wc. Private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.
