During the planning stage of Alice's Loft & Cottages Self Catering Accommodation, research from the Local Arts Council with Monaghan County Council showed a demand for a workshop / studio with live in accommodation.

As a result we designed one of the buildings so allow for flexibility of use. The upstairs can be used as a studio or workshop, with artists / writers as an example of potential users. The need for communities for artists in residency, writers for quite surroundings, actors for local productions are only a tip of potential uses.

The building has been built to the highest specifications and has certification from the local Fire Authority. The twinning of work space and accommodation is unique in the Cavan / Monaghan / Louth region and can be booked from 1 week to 12 months at excellent rates.

Our kitchen has all the necessary modern facilities including dishwasher, microwave, coffee percolator, sandwich toaster, and tumble dyer. Our sitting room includes TV, DVD player and Playstation. Alice's Loft & Cottages Self Catering Holiday Accommodation has three bedrooms vacation rental studio (1 ensuite) each containing a double and single bed. All  bedrooms have radio-clock-alarms and hair dryers.

The downstairs bedroom with ensuite is wheelchair accessible, as is all the ground level. The upstairs bedrooms share a large bathroom on that floor containing a separate shower and bath. We provide, on request, a travel cot, high-chair and reliable baby sitting. The loft sleeps 8/9 comfortably.
