Montana Luz Hacienda. "Mountain Light" A signature Southwest 4 BR Ski Holiday Travel Residence, located in a ranching community eight miles from the Town of Taos and approximately eleven miles from Taos Ski Valley. The hacienda is within walking distance to Arroyo Seco on a rural road which passes an old Penitente Morada, cemetery and the back of Julia Roberts 50-acre ranch. This cozy historic country 4 BR Ski Vacation Travel Home Rental was built in the early 60s by sisters Sandra and Laurel Seth, Southwest adobe builders who developed a unique building architecture style and design. They are authors of a newly released book called "Adobe!" - also known locally for their use of natural resources, hand-made adobes, brick, flagstone and timbered local wood. The original 950 square foot structure was built on part of the Antonio Martinez Land Grant. Over the years, different owners have added their touches and more rooms to create what is currently a 3,000 square foot living space. Recently remodeled, the structure features a 400 square foot inner courtyard/portals and fountain with access from the kitchen, living room and northeast bedroom and an additional 2,000 square foot flagstone patio and connecting walkways surrounding this entire 4 BR Ski Travel Home.

Additionally there is an open ramada with a 12-jet hot tub, sauna, fire pit, several private patios and ample parking. This 4 BR Ski Holiday Travel Home Rental is on approximately one acre of land, surrounded by an adobe and latilla (coyote fence). Large viga ceilings are prominent throughout the hacienda, as are Spanish corbels and lintels. To the immediate left of the front door is an open kitchen with talavera tile counters and custom shelving. An eating area is nestled in a corner with bench seating for eight people. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances: refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, electric stove featuring a ceramic surface and overhead microwave, dishwasher, disposal, double sink. Additional appliances include a coffee maker, blender, 4-slot toaster, crock-pot, griddle, hand mixer and service ware for 16 people. You will find all the necessary kitchen tools to complete any gourmet meal - right down to the wine and brandy glasses. In the dining room opposite the kitchen, a traditional kiva fireplace captures one's eye. The center of this room also serves as additional table seating for four people.

Of particular fascination is the raised window alcove banco (built in bed or bench) with latilla ceiling. The banco offers extended sleeping for 2 guests on a full size mattress. An extensive entertainment center features a 27 (surround sound) satellite television, a video recorder with remote and a Sony AM/FM/CD cassette stereo system. A second television and video recorder are located in Bedroom 3. The four bedrooms are separated, two on each side of the living-dining- kitchen area, providing privacy and ease of movement throughout the house. At night, guests enjoy starry skies, glistening snow off the Sangre de Christo Mountain Range and the glowing valley lights of Arroyo Seco while relaxing in the 8 person 14 jet hot tub. The outdoor sauna is an additional amenity found in only a few Taos 4 BR Ski Vacation Rentals. Montana Luz is ideal for families and groups desiring to be together under one very southwest roof for a true Taos experience!

Terms & Conditions

RESERVATIONS: Are confirmed & property is taken off market when contract is completely filled in and received by Premiere. For reservations made more than 30 days from arrival, 50% deposit is to be paid by check due within 7 days of booking. Balance can be paid by check or Master Card/Visa and is due 30 days before arrival (60 days Xmas/NY\'s, Spring Break and reservations of 14 or more nights). Reservations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged to a Visa or Mastercard. If check is late, deposit will automatically be run on Visa or Mastercard 8 days after the booking date including a 5% service charge.

CHECK IN: Check-in is anytime after 4 pm. Check-out is no later than 10:00 am so housekeeping can be ready for next party arrival at 4:00 pm.

CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 30 days before arrival (60 days Xmas/NY\'s, Spring Break, and reservations of 14 or more nights) cancellation fee is 21% of total reservation. Less than 30 days before arrival, (60 days Xmas/NY\'s, Spring Break, and reservations of 14 or more nights) forfeiture of 100% of full reservation unless property is rebooked for entire stay at same rate. If booked for less, refund portion will be prorated (less the 21% cancellation fee). There are no refunds for late arrival or early departure.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Each property has a private caretaker to assist guests with maintenance issues, lost keys, directions, etc. Guest is to contact caretaker for such issues. If there is an urgent matter and caretaker does not respond with 30 minutes guest should then call Premiere at 800-987-8423.

DEPARTURE: Property is to be left in good order by following the printed guidelines in each home. Should the guidelines be missing common sense should rule. Should property be left in poor order please read \"SECURITY DEPOSIT\" below.

GUEST POLICY: Should there be more overnight guests (including children) other than number disclosed in contract (other than prior approved visits) the party will be required to immediately vacate the premises without refund and full security deposit will be forfeited. If a large party gathers without prior disclosure to \"Premiere\" the full security deposit shall be forfeited and party will immediately terminate.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: Should damages (see direction sheet for partial explanation of possible damages) or extra cleaning occur, your credit card will be charged $500.00 dollars plus a $25.00 dollar non-refundable service charge. A check for $500.00 will be sent to the Homeowner along with guest name, address and phone number, and damage issues will be handled directly with the Homeowner, caretaker & guest. Prorated refund will be returned directly by Homeowner. Evidence of unauthorized pets or smoking in the house will result in forfeiture of full security deposit. Premiere Properties will be held harmless and will not be involved in damage negotiations.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: This property is privately owned & cared for. Premiere Properties is acting as Reservation Service only for the use of the subject property. For homes with hot tubs, I understand the risks of hot tub/Jacuzzi use, and recognize that for some people adverse reactions can occur, including but not limited to skin rash. Neither Premiere Properties, nor the Owner or their Agents will be held liable or responsible for personal injury, accidents, loss of life, valuables or personal property due to fire, theft, neglect, or any catastrophe or natural disaster which might occur at the above named property during the above stated time period. If this property becomes unavailable, due to unforeseen circumstances, I understand Premiere Properties will do all possible to move my party to an equal or upgraded option.

PAYMENT: All funds due within 30 days of arrival (60 days Christmas, New Year, Spring Break and reservations of 14 or more days). 50% deposit of total reservation due by check within 7 days of booking. Deposits by check not received within 7 days of booking will be automatically run on credit card on 8th day + 5% surcharge.
