Description

Situated in a picturesque small alleyway in the Middle Street Conservation Area of the beautiful and historic coastal town of Deal. This cosy 18th century, Grade II listed, former fisherman’s cottage is tucked away only 80 metres from the seafront. It has recently been refurbished and sympathetically decorated to a very high standard. Upstairs it has one double bedroom and one twin (bunks). Downstairs the slate floored sitting room with its inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove is open to the kitchen, which leads to the bathroom and small rear courtyard.

Deal has plenty to offer. The quietness of the conservation area is contrasted by the bustle of the local High Street with its mix of antique and gift shops and major stores. There is a wealth of local pubs, cafes and fine restaurants, with outlying villages and nearby Sandwich extending your choice of places to eat. Fishing trips can be booked from many of the small boats moored on the beach near Walmer. There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed either along the coastal path or inland to pretty villages. Locally there is a wide choice of castles and gardens to visit and Canterbury is only half an hour away. There are three golf courses close by, including the championship Royal St. George's, venue of the 2003 Open. Close to Dover, Deal is perfectly situated for daytrips to France.
