Description

If you\'ve had enough of boring, beige motels and are looking for somewhere refreshingly different to stay while you visit the Waikato, then you\'re in the right place!

We think that we live in an amazingly beautiful part of the country and have built The Lofthouse on our 3 acres so that you can share and love it too.

Totally separate from our own vacation home, fully self-contained and set on top of the world, the views from your pillow and deck epitomize our \'clean green New Zealand\' image that all Kiwis are so proud of. Cows, sheep, horses and deer through the fence, miles of lush green pasture with Mt Maungatautari as a backdrop... this is the New Zealand that people travel to see and experience.

At The Lofthouse, it really is All About You! Our aim is to provide accommodation that you won\'t want to leave, background hospitality that you will rave about to anyone that will listen, and memories that will last with you until you find time to return. It is unacceptable to us for anyone to leave disappointed they never do!

We\'ve had heaps of fun building The Lofthouse and have used zinclume and plywood throughout - this coupled with brightly coloured fittings, quirky mosaics and artwork make it a very special place to stay.

It\'s not flashy and it\'s not 5-star, but we pride ourselves in offering our guests a very comfortable, smoke-free, spotlessly clean, unique place to relax and unwind in a spectacular setting. Our style of hospitality is to be there if you need us, and to be as invisible as we can if you don\'t!

Downstairs you will find a kitchenette/dining area with a fridge-freezer, microwave, bench oven and everything you will need to prepare simple meals. The laundry is fully equipped with an auto washer and dryer and there is a combined shower/toilet room all done in bright funky colours.

Climb the stairs to the snug TV lounge - the ideal place to kick-back and unwind if you strike a wet day - heaps of videos, books, puzzles and board games. Otherwise, throw open the door and step out onto the best gin-deck in the Waikato! The outlook over the Whitehall hills to TeMiro will knock your socks off!

Your generous bedroom is also upstairs with a queen size slat bed and two single beds - all very comfortable and made up with electric blankets, NZ wool duvets and quality linen. Plenty of storage if you are staying a while. This time the view from your pillow is of our magnificent Mount Maungatautari and the stunning surrounding countryside towards Mount Pirongia, Te Awamutu and Kakapuka.

Outdoors there\'s ample space for you to use the barbecue and laze around on the lawn. Help yourself to vegies and herbs from the garden for your salads.

The cedar hot tub is waiting for you at a soothing 38-40ºC... equally indulgent either during the day when you can see for miles, or after dark when the moon and stars put on their show for you.
