Bryn Tegid Country House is a fine Victorian gentleman's residence, originally built for Major General Robert Owen Jones in 1849 (see  history page) It has been restored and lovingly maintained by the present owners, keeping many of the original features.

Sample the unashamed luxury of living in this beautifully furnished home. Much of the furniture is antique.

Bryn Tegid enjoys an elevated position within its 9 acres of private woodland and beautiful lawned gardens, which guests are free to enjoy. The guest rooms all overlook Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and its splendid surrounding scenery.

Sample the peace, tranquillity and clean fresh air. High spot for many is the famous world-class National White Water Centre where you can experience rafting or canoeing the rapids.

Sitting Room: Relax in fabulous luxury in our huge sitting room. There is a wide-screen television with satellite and we operate an honesty bar.

The Panorama Room is so named because of the splendid views forwards over Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and to the side over the lovely woodlands and grounds. It has been re-furbished with an en-suite added.

The Panorama room is spacious, bright, tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. There is a remote-control colour TV, hair dryer, coffee and tea-making facilities and an en-suite with shower.

The Tegid Suite is a private suite of rooms comprising a twin room and a master bedroom with  a six foot wide queen - size bed, and  a sitting area. There is a shower room with a toilet and pedestal basin.

The Tegid Suite is  spacious, bright, tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished fabulous drapes and with antiques. There are superb views over the grounds to the lake beyond.  A trouser press, hair dryer, remote control colour television, tea and coffee making facilities are all provided.

The Tegid suite is an ideal family suite having an additional luxury twin room available as well as the double.
