Description

Folds cottage is south facing to enjoy all day sunshine and the stunning mountain views to the Cairngorms National Park. Folds is surrounded by a fenced garden.

Folds cottage is double glazed with a separate modern kitchen and utility room, electrically heated and comfortably furnished with CD/radio player, telephone, digital satellite TV with video and DVD players. The coal fired stove is a feature in the kitchen and also heats radiators in the lounge and bathroom. Linen, towels and t-towels are included. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available free. Barbecue and patio furniture included.

Downstairs a large comfortable lounge/dining room with a separate kitchen and utility room. The kitchen includes hob, double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A double bedroom with ensuite shower room with toilet and wash basin; bathroom with bath, toilet, wash basin and shower are also downstairs. Upstairs 2 family rooms with 1 double and 1 single bed with wash basins. This exceptional quality cottage has recently been redecorated and re-carpeted and has a very high standard of cleanliness.

Visitors are welcome to bring well-behaved dogs. There is plenty of space for them in the garden and there are many excellent way marked trails in the area which are good for dog walking. This is a great area for walking, wildlife and whisky. Visit the Glenlivet distillery for a free tour and tasting or while in Dufftown visit the Glenfiddich distillery for a free tour and tasting. There is great walking of the Glenlivet Crown Estate with many marked trails of varying length from short walks by the River Livet to longer walks on the moors and hills. Wildlife can be viewed from the cottages, walks in the local area and from the surrounding hills. Further afield there are beautiful, empty beaches along the Moray Firth and lots of castles both ruined and still lived in to this day such as Ballindalloch and Balmoral.

Steve and I have owned and operated 4 holiday cottages in Glenlivet, Scotland for the last 11 years. We love living in this beautiful part of Scotland and being involved with the tourist industry. Steve is involved with running 2 Whisky Festivals each year the last weekend in April and September. He is very knowledgeable on local distilleries in Speyside. I am a keen photographer and have photos on line of all the places to visit in the local area.

Terms & Conditions

Minimum stay 3 nights. 20% deposit required on booking - payable online. Final payment due 28 days before arrival. Arrival time after 1600 hours and departure before 1000 hours. The deposit is non refundable, but transferable to another holiday.
