Experience a taste of the old west by staying in this beautifully restored one room log cabin. This is the original homestead cabin for the ranch. All the historic features of the cabin have been retained, yet the interior has been completely remodeled in the style of the old west. The cabin sets on a steam bank and is in a completely private location on the ranch. Perfect for singles and couples. A Cornucopia of Wildlife awaits you at the door step of this log cabin.

Expect to see bald eagles, deer, pheasants, ducks, geese, and an occasional moose-just to name a few. Over 100 species of birds have been identified on the ranch. The Views will amaze you! Montana is called “Big Sky Country”, and you will understand why after a stay at the Vintage Log Cabin. Every day at Big Trout Ranch presents a different back drop with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Be sure to bring your camera!

The Fine Print

  • Satisfaction with your accommodation is guaranteed!
  • Licensed “Tourist Accommodation” with the state of Montana
  • Cleaning fees apply to stays of less than three nights. $40 for the Vintage Log Cabin, and $75 for Kamloops and Big Brown.
  • Pets allowed with advance notice in the Vintage Log Cabin. $40/week pet lodging fee.
  • 50% deposit due upon booking (Call us if you are coordinating a large group and need to hold some dates while you get your group members committed!)
  • Balance due upon arrival
Cancellation Policy:
  • 100% refunds given if dates are re-booked.

  • Fishing Private Spring Creek Waters on the Ranch. No Additional Rod Fees.
  • A Choice of Two Private Ponds Loaded with Trout
  • Access to a mile of the Beaverhead River on the Ranch.

  • Complimentary Coffee and Tea Service
  • Addtional charges may apply for more than eight guests in Kamloops. Maximum of 2 guests in the Vintage Log Cabin.
