The Blueprint Room, Bedroom 1, is very comfortable and sleeps two guests (queen bed). Guests can expect clean, neutral color schemes with lively accents, modern furniture, and ample closet and dresser space. Guests enjoy the cozy home feeling of this room. Room size: 108 square feet (10 square meters). On these walls, you will find the original blueprints from Berrodin’s Café which later became Akron’s legendary bar located in Highland Square, The Bucket Shop. The Berrodin’s Cafe was a family owned business first opened in 1934, just one year after prohibition by Louie III’s grandparents, Louis Sr. & Katherine Berrodin.

Please take the opportunity to look closer at the blueprints and notice that they are the hand-drawn originals dated July 3 & July 9, 1940. The Duro-Chrome Corporation designed all the chrome bar stools, booths, and tables, and the Liquid Carbonic Corporation designed and built the bar and refrigeration systems. When the Bucket Shop closed in 2007, Louie and his brother Sean found the original blueprints folded and wadded up in an old Miller High Life beer case when clearing out the bar.

This place is amazing!!

This place is amazing!! There is so much local history in this house and the host Louie’s knowledge of it is incredible! Thanks to him we ate at the best local restaurant and got to sight see some of gods best artwork, Brandy Wine Falls! This is by far hands down the best bed & breakfast I’ve ever stayed at! Will definitely be back! Thank you Louie!! You are a beacon of light and was exactly where and what Jennifer and I needed.

A great spot

We had a great stay here. It was very comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring Cuyahoga National Park. The breakfast was substantial and tasty, and Louie was a great host.
