In 2021 we stripped the place to its bones and updated everything while keeping what was cool about the place. We think the result is a cabin with all the character you could want and all the modern features of a true luxury vacation venue. You should take the time to walk the miracle mile. A street that is lined with trees that canopy the road and views of the lake that are just beautiful. You can spend evenings by the rock fire pit with a waterfall feature or on the swing porch that is lake front. You may want to relax in the copper lined bubble infused soaking tub. or the incredible steam shower. Unique 30 inch gas lanterns adorn all corners of the property, This home oozes luxury and romance! Property is located just 13 minutes to downtown and Panthers Stadium, 6 minutes to The White Water Center, and 7 minutes to historic down town Belmont. You are a $6 Uber ride to the airport but not under it! You can see them fly over the other side of the lake but don't hear them which is very cool. We are not new to this business, we have owned 2 other properties on Mountain Island that are very affordable and still get 4.75on one and 5 stars on the other. You can be assured we will take good care of you too!. Brand new luxury Pontoon available at your dock. at discounted rate for guests.
 
Please note; if anyone in your party has mobility issues you will want to be careful considering this place. The house is positioned on a sloping lot. The front steps were constructed with boulders, there are spiral stirs to the lower level and 34 steps down to the lake.

We are Bob and Kim and we are lake enthusiast. We own homes on several of the lakes in the area. We presently live on a lake close by and we love this place so much we spend many weekends here. We hope you will love it as we do.
Why they chose this property
We lived here at one time and knew we could never part with it. Mile View is not an investment for us. She is part of the family. We know that if you stay here and get to know Mountain Island Lake you will be 'hooked' too. If you need to be in or around the city for any reason there is no other lake front property available closer or more convenient. The airport is truly just 10 minutes away. You would never guess that you were so close to everything when you are at Mile View. The county has bought all but three house to build a future 100+ acre lake front park. Rosella is surrounded by the park and lake. There is a small vacation home to the left that you can see. Other than that it is trees, lake and sky!
What makes this property unique
Many of our guests come to experience the National Whitewater Center. If you come, we strongly suggest you visit there. It's a man made river rapids that you can kayak or do a guided raft run. This is the only man made Olympic qualifying rapids in the country. There is vertical rock climbing, zip lining and a lot more outdoor adventures. If you don't feel quite that adventurous there is a riverside restaurant where you can get a great meal and a glass of wine while you watch crazy people careen down a wall of water and rocks. There are also summer concerts and island sunset parties. It costs just $5 to park and nothing to visit the center. You can drive from Rosella, park your car, and walk to the river's edge in less than 10 minutes.

Love Last Cove Lodge


The entire experience was sublime. The property is beautiful. You feel like you are in a secluded mountain cabin on a lake but are only 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. The upgraded amenities were a bonus. The soaking tub and steam shower rivaled any spa I have visited in Charleston. The decor is lovely and the house spacious. Bob was a wonderful host going as far to give us an extra parking spot since we had two oversized vehicles. We can’t wait to have another reason to stay!

Lake Life at its Best!


The "Last Cove on the Left" lake house is amazing and Bob is the best property manager we've ever rented from! Outstanding views, beautifully decorated, spacious accommodations, and a fully stocked kitchen. This is our second stay here and we'll be back again next Spring. Don't miss out on this gem of a property.

This place has Great Lake views, convenient to many places. Place has a little old feel but with some modernized upgrades. Stayed here a week and will definitely return during the summer days. Host was great to deal with!

Amazing Holiday Home!


We stayed between Christmas and New Year, while visiting relatives in nearby South Carolina. The home is just lovely. Beautiful views from every room. Inspirational kitchen and a great media/movie night room. Downtown Belmont is adorable, and the home is close to CLT. Bob was fantastic to work with.
