  • Sally and Jim

I am a retired Special Ed teacher having taught for 30 years in Bartow county Ga. and Volusia County Florida. My husband, Jim, built the 2 tiny homes which we rent to guests year-round. Jim is a carpenter by trade but also retired and enjoys bow hunting and golf. We have been renting these cabins since 1995 and LOVE our life-style job. I enjoy marketing the cabins and keeping them decorated. Walking is such a pleasure here. We have some great routes around the cabins. We also have traveled to Europe several times and love Germany, the British Isles and Italy. Key West is another of our favorite destinations. Our life motto is "Choose Kindness over Correctness".
During your stay
We, the owners, live on the 6 acres with two cabins that we rent to vacationers. We are here to take care of any needs that may arise with our guests. As you will see on arrival, your parking place will be well marked. You will walk down the hill from your parking area between our home and garage, down a lighted path to your cabin. The door will be open and the key on the table.

Perfect place

Perfect place to kick back and enjoy beautiful scenery right off the private deck

Beautiful Property

Sally and Jim were so welcoming and even added a personal touch for my birthday! The view is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing!

This is a great place for a quiet and rustic getaway. It was just what we were looking for!

Great Experience!

We loved our time here! They met us when we arrived and it was easy to walk to the cabin from the driveway. We were able to cook a large meal and had everything we needed in the kitchenette. The fireplace is cozy and easily warms the full cabin. The creek sounds are comforting while you\'re sleeping and makes it feel like you\'re very secluded. We stopped by Amicalola Falls, downtown Ellijay, Cartecay Brewery and Winery and enjoyed dinner at the cabin. Best part was being able to have our dog with us the entire time without any fuss, she enjoyed the back porch the most out of all of us. We would definitely recommend the cabin and hope to be back again!

Great location

Great location, amazing view and warm hospitality. The cabin is very cozy for 2, and the porch, with it\'s amazing view of the creek, is a great place to chill and enjoy nature. We saw lots of birds and you can hear the Creek from inside. The cabin could use an update or two (toilet works but really needs replacing), but everything it has to offer more than makes up for that. Highly recommend.
