Cancellation made greater than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental is eligible for the deposit to be refunded. Cancellation within 8 weeks of the rental date forfeits the deposit unless another rental is secured and paid. If the final payment is not received by 8 weeks prior to commencement of the rental, it creates the presumption of cancellation, and renders the house available for rent to the first fully paid rental received for the date period specified herein. Under such circumstances, if the cottage is re-rented, the deposit would be refunded.
