A true ski in/ski out 5 bedroom 4 bath town home on green (beginner) friendly Upper Flume Run and direct access to the new high-speed Quad - Soaring Eagle Lift. Plenty of space for everyone on the three levels of this log town home. With its slope side convenience for getting in and out with kids (no long walks with heavy boots) and perfect location for every level skier – we are the sweetest spot on the mountain. 
 
Don't be fooled by others (like Black Bear Crossing or most of the Village properties) that say they are ski in/ski out , but still have a long walk to the slopes or the West Ridge Road properties with only access to Black (expert) trails.  Here, everyone in your group can enjoy the ultimate convenience of a true ski in and ski out accommodation.  
 
Relax in the 6-person hot tub located on our private deck and watch the skiers go by.  Or stoke a fire in our outdoor fire pit and roast a marshmallow or two. We want you to  feel at home so we've tastefully decorated and equipped The Sweet Spot with everything you need, from stainless-steel kitchen appliances and high-end cookware, to a great selection of the best-selling books and DVDs, and a washer and dryer to keep those gloves and mittens dry. We even have video games for the kids and high speed wireless service to stay connected. And you won't have to spend heavy rental fees for a crib, toddler bed (located in the master walk-in closet), high chair, or baby gate because we have everything you need for young kids.
 
The BEST Location - 5-Minute walk to the South Mountain/7-Minute walk to the village.  Once you've arrived at The Sweet Spot, you may not have to drive again as we are conveniently located near the South Mountain, where you can purchase lift tickets or rentals and dine at the new sports bar restaurant.  Snowshoe Village is only a 7-minute walk or the shuttle stops a few steps from our front door (you can actually wait indoors for the bus to come).  Loggers Run #24 is an end unit, away from the snowmaking blowers, and neighbors on only one side, so there is no unwanted noises to keep you up at night. Family Friendly - We have our own outdoor fire pit and we'll stock it with some great cracklin' wood in the summer to make s'mors.  We are also equipped for families with babies – we have a high chair, portable crib, todler bed, monitor, even a baby gate.  And we’ll keep the kids entertained with video games, board games, DVDs, and toys.

Hi! We are Mike and Mel. We have owned the Sweet Spot since 2005. We live in Winston-Salem, NC and have two young girls. We both love to ski and enjoy the majesty of the Cheat Mountains with great hiking and biking. We want to pass on this love to our girls so we are teaching them how to ski too. I grew up in NYC and now work for a bank. Mike is from Florida and owns a consulting business for project management. Mike's a Seminole converted to a Gator and I'm a UVA grad so you can be sure we have a great HD TV to watch the March Madness or other sports and cheer for our teams.

We fell in love with Snowshoe the first time we visited - great slopes, great snow, and we can drive to our home and pack EVERYTHING we need in the car! When Loggers Run was built we knew this was just the type of home we would like to stay when we visited Snowshoe. We loved it so much we bought one and it has been the best place for our family and our guests. We loved that it was upscale and truely on the slopes and that you can have several families come together. We see skiing as a group sport so having your friends and family together is all part of the ski vacation experience.
What makes this Townhome unique
The Best part of our home is that it is private, but also slopeside. And the hot tub is awesome! I don't think there is another place on the mountain that you can sit in the hot tub and watch the skiers and snowmobilers go by. You can also walk to the village or the top of South Mounain with additional restaunts and shops. We are located in the middle of everthing, but still on a green friendly slope.

Extremely pleased


I can not praise the hosts of this property enough. We ran into some issues upon arrival, but they were taken care of immediately. The property itself was beautiful and was well maintained. The fact that it was so kid friendly was wonderful. We made some great memories and we will definitely be back to stay here in the future. Highly recommend :)

Perfect place for a great summer motorcycle vacation


Im not a skier and neither are any of the people we stayed with, and we were there over Labor Day so not much to discuss about the snow. However, the property was perfect for us - very clean, well kept, surprisingly spacious, and had plenty of beds. I can see how this would be a great family house, there were 6 of us and im pretty sure we only used 1/3 of the beds! Communication with the owner was great. There was so much at this house we didn’t even use like the high chair, hot tub, whirlpool tub on the third floor, etc. when we have more time we will definitely be back here.

Great spot for our MTB trip!


Awesome place for 8 of us guys spending a long weekend riding bikes. Roomy, comfortable and great location. Hope to do it again next year!!! Hot tub and fire pit were excellent!!!

Perfect quiet time


The property had everything we needed and more. Location on the mountain is perfect. We came at the end of the season so nothing was open, but it gave us open space to roam around the slopes and village and enjoy the views. Definitely would recommend and do it again.
