Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 6 bedroom/ 5 bath geodesic domes home sitting on an almost 2 acre lot. Words and pictures can hardly describe this truly magical home. The house itself is an absolute gem -truly a once in a lifetime home that the famous architect - Buckminster Fuller, himself - has actually been in before. An architectural dream that will make any old square house seem like a bore.
 
The yard and landscaping is unbeatable and includes frog ponds, waterfalls, streams and bridges. Many who come over, while they are sitting outside on the patio listening to the frogs croak and watching the willows blow in the breeze - tell me that the the last thing they would guess is that they are in a suburb of Minneapolis - rather that they are in a resort in the north woods.  
 
The amazing part of the domes is that once you walk out of our hidden fortress, you come out to a city with all you could ever need and within a 5 minute walk you could find yourself sipping a refreshing slushy at Bryant Lake Regional State park which has a FREE fantastic beach, park, hiking trails, Frisbee Disc Golf and more!  Rent a paddle boat or go hiking on the nature trails.....this park has it all.

Now onto the house!
Let me just start out by telling you that you haven't played the best game of hide n' seek until you've played in this house. Oh the nooks and crannies are so fascinating and fun! Again, the pictures just don't do it justice.
 
When you walk in the front door you are greeted with a view like no other. You see the curved wall, the beautiful kitchen and the window formation that will simply take your breath away. As you peek further you notice what appears to be the other dome and you just can't wait to go exploring! Don't forget your Harry Potter map, because you might just get lost!)
 
As you enter the kitchen you will soon realize that it is perfect for dining and it is equipped with everything you might need. It has a brand new Viking gas range, new dishwasher, new kitchen sink and faucets, new double oven and microwave, and a huge fridge. Seating for dining is located with the table in the kitchen itself, four barstools and the kitchen island or head over to our Italian- made glass table in the dining room.
 
If you feel like heading up the spiral staircase in dome 1 which you access from the living room (which is furnished with everything you would need including a 3 sided wood burning fireplace and all the wood you could ever ask for)....  you will reach the Master suite.
 
The main/master bedroom has a nice temperpedic king sized bed and the bathroom has a large European soaking tub.
 
While the remaining rooms are furnished with nice full sized memory foam bed (s), the guest room on the main floor (dome 2) has a super comfy queen size bed, all very comfortable for sleeping lots of people. Also on the kids lofts sleep 2 person per loft on queen sized memory foam mattresses and loads of luxury air mattresses to accommodate more people.
 
This home is full of love and life. Down in dome 2 we have a bouncy castle along with a mother in law kitchen - full of board games and even a mini stage for talent shows and performances!  
 
Guests can enjoy an afternoon of fun and relaxing by the waterfalls and streams (excludes winter) or perhaps enjoy yourself 3 season porch and listen to the frogs sing, feel the breeze come through....it's truly a slice of heaven.
 
The home is also equipped with a work out room with an exercise bike, treadmill, free weights, many mirrors and ballet and pull-up bars.
 
Play golf?  Try to golf in our hallway putting green...... this place has it all.  There's also 2 excellent public golf courses within a ten minute drive.
 
This house is perfect for families or company retreats. It offers tons of space to hang out, sleep, inside and out!
 
The backyard has a tiki bar and dining set. Take a stroll in the garden and go pick some fresh grown veggies if you wish!   
 
Note: The pool you see in the pic is a man-made pond, NOT a swimming pool. The back acre has a large area for tents, chairs, a football game, group bonding activities, etc.
 
This house is a gem that's too good to just keep to ourselves. We want to share it with the world!
 
****** Please note****** As we have made this a full time rental since we moved out, we have realized that this house is really PERFECT for families. It's not that we don't want to rent it to other groups or won't, we usually take family groups first.******
 
*****ALSO***** The custom pricing is different year round and we aren't able to get our peak season to match up with winter so please know that groups of 10 or less generally will not be taken into consideration over the summer months.  If you make a reservation in the summer months  for smaller groups without inquiring and we consider it but might end up turning it down. Thank you for your understanding:)
 
******* ONE MORE THING****** since the world has turned upside down since March 2020 if you make an instant book we do have the right to turn down any instant or regular bookings if we feel necessary.

Excellent house!!


This property was the perfect place to spend time with our family. There was so much to do. Our three young grandchildren had a blast. The owner was wonderful to work with. She was very friendly and responded instantly to any questions or requests.

A Christmas memory we will never forget!


When planning this trip we never imagined how perfect everything would turn out. From the festive decorations to cuddling up by the fire with hot cocoa and a cozy blanket! Family time sledding in the back yard and making snow angels! At dusk on Christmas Eve looking out over the property and seeing 8 tiny reindeer. We look forward to bringing our family back and making many many more memories. I can go on and on describing all the wonderful features about this home, however words can not describe the experience you will have by staying in this magical place.

Thanksgiving at the Double Domes


The location and size of the property was perfect for what we needed for Thanksgiving. Everything was exactly as advertised. The set up for our kids was great, and they had more than enough things to do. The trampoline and zip line were a huge hit. It was a very unique and beautiful property.
