Description

Crescent Lake Cabin is a secluded, private cabin on Crescent Creek near the town of Crescent Lake Junction in Oregon.  It is the ideal location for a secluded, relaxing, natural getaway, with activities the whole year round.

A recent entry in the cabin guest book says, 'What a wonderful spot by the creek! We started the weekend with ambitions of hikes and canoeing on lakes and then soon realized that the best thing was staying by the cabin, walking through the woods, splashing in the creek, playing with inner tubes, playing fetch with our dog, enjoying the wood stove and treasuring each other's company.'

If you do have ambitions of hikes, canoeing, mountain biking, or exploring in general, there is plenty to do:

At Crescent Lake Cabin, you can:
  * Fish from our dock
  * Swim in either of two swimming holes
  * Float down the creek
  * Enjoy your morning coffee with your feet in the creek
  * Cross-country ski or snowmobile from our front door (winter only!)

We are also:
  * 5 minutes from fishing and water skiing on Crescent Lake
  * 5 minutes from Odell Lake for more fishing
  * Near world-class mountain biking
  * Near the Pacific Crest Trail and other trailheads
  * I can provide you with hiking and mountain biking trail guides
  * 10 minutes from Willamette Pass Ski Area
  * 60 miles from Crater Lake and Diamond Lake
  * 1 mile from Crescent Lake Junction, with gas, a convenience store, a burger restaurant, and a tavern

Also, people often ask if there will be snow, and my best response is that I can't predict the weather! The trend is that from November through March, there is a good chance of snow, but it is not guaranteed. In 2014-2015, there was little snow. This winter, 2015-16, has plenty of snow. Also, when there is snow, travel is more difficult, and it is necessary to use the wood stove to keep warm. If this sounds like a fun adventure to you, I encourage you to stay in the winter!

I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, especially at our cabin (Crescent Lake Cabin!) For example, in the summer we hike, float in the creek, mountain bike, and fish. In the winter, we ski and sled in the driveway. Professionally, I'm a chemist and a software designer and tester.
Mark Rabenstein purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Mark Rabenstein chose Crescent
As a kid, my family had a cabin. As a parent, I wanted to give the same to my children. They have grown up visiting the cabin. Crescent Lake Cabin is convenient to us; it is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from where we live in Bend (and the same distance from Eugene!). Also, We enjoy the seclusion of 3.5 acres, as well as being on Crescent Creek. The natural setting is also gorgeous, with the creek, meadows with butterflies, and pine trees.
What makes this Cabin unique
In the summer, we enjoy spending time at the dock on the creek, and playing with the kids in the creek. We usually don't go to the lake because the creek is so fun and convenient! In the winter, we enjoy walking out the door and cross-country skiing.

Beautiful retreat in the mountains

I had a wonderful relaxing stay. Nice basic accommodations in a beautiful setting.

The Perfect Cabin in the Woods

Crescent Lake Cabin is the perfect place to unwind and get back to nature. The unpretentious and rustic cabin suited our needs perfectly, and the creek was relaxing and peaceful. Mark was extremely easy to communicate with. We would love to stay again!

4 Days of relaxing bliss!

As this is our 3rd time staying here, it was another relaxing , peaceful and adventurous vacation! This cabin is so comfortable for our whole family . The location can\'t be more perfect! Secluded with your own dock and creek frontage that makes hot summer days more enjoyable with a quick dip, swim or float. Fishing and hiking in the forest, viewing wildlife including the otter mom and pup that plays in the creek right in front of you. We will definitely be back next year, if not sooner.

A beautiful and relaxing getaway

What a great place to relax and recharge!

Perfect little vacation

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. It was such a peaceful location and easy to find. We really enjoyed reading the book Green eggs and ham. We love the fact that there is no Wi-Fi thank you for doing that. It had everything we needed (extra blankets would have been nice). We felt so relaxed the whole time and didn’t want to leave. It’s close to so many things! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!

Peaceful

This has become an annual winter getaway for us - we love the cozy cabin and peaceful surroundings. The location is perfect for skiiing but there is actually no need to leave the cabin to have a lovely weekend as you can sled down the driveway, explore the property and enjoy a warm drink on the dock with the rippling creek.
