Description

The award-winning Vista De Sirena is located in a quiet and secluded fishing village 15 miles south of Jacó.  The building sits on a hillside just 275 meters from the beach and offers one of the most amazing views of the ocean along the entire western coast of Costa Rica.  Enjoy a short walk to the beach where you can put your feet in the sand, play in tide pools, snorkel, swim or surf.  You can also charter a world-class fishing tour in nearby Quepos or Herradura, or join up with one of the local fishermen right here in Esterillos Oeste.  The waters are teeming with Snapper, Jack and a variety of other delicious fish.  A short scenic drive will lead you to Jacó for shopping, dining, and great night life.  A 40-minute drive in the opposite direction will take you to Manuel Antonio, the most popular national park in Costa Rica, where you can enjoy hiking and swimming and experience a diversity of wildlife.
 
Each of the building's three air conditioned units has a spacious entry with plenty of room to leave your surfboards or anything else you need to store behind locked doors.  On the right hand side of the walkway you'll find the entry to the main living area, kitchen and dining space.  At the other end of the main living area you'll enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean through the wall of glass with large sliding doors that open up to private balconies. For added privacy, each unit resides on its own floor and has three bedroom suites. Two suites feature king beds; the third suite has a queen bed; One of the bedrooms has a full bed that pulls out from under the king bed for additional sleeping accommodations. Additionally, each bedroom features pillow-top beds with memory foam toppers.  
 
The rooftop is an ideal place to enjoy the company of close friends and good food while sitting at the palapa bar, lounging on the deck, or swimming in the infinity pool.
 
The penthouse unit comes with a few added luxuries.  The main living area is considerably larger with more windows to enhance the views and a gorgeous teak-paneled ceiling.  If you want to the enjoy the cover of being indoors and still feel the ocean breeze, the entire ocean-facing wall slides open providing a spacious entry to the balcony.

Cleaning fees are $250 at the end of the stay; less if renting 1 or 2 floors. Daily cleaning is $120/day for the entire building (clean bathrooms, kitchen, sweep, make beds). PayPal also accepted.
 
Price for the building is for the building only, catering and travel not included. We can refer you to people for those amenities, but we are not responsible for them.

Why David Payne chose Esterillos Oeste

We fell in love with Esterillos Oeste when we visited in 2007. Soon after, we bought our first condo and chose to invest in the area. The views from where we built the condo are among the best we've found along the entire Pacific coast. The locals are friendly and easy going. Esterillos is more laid back and tranquil than the busier Jaco and Manuel Antonio tourist areas.

What makes this Condo unique

The beach is an easy 275 meter walk down the hill from the building and is easy to reach on foot even carrying a surfboard. The 3500 square-foot gathering area on the rooftop of the building hosts a pool, bar area with palapa, and incredible views. The building includes a security system and a full-time manager. ***We do not offer our facility as a wedding venue. No bachelor parties, female/male escorts on the property.***

A 2019 Summer to Remember...thank you!!


Our family stayed at David’s home in Esterillos Oeste in July 2019. We were very happy with the courteous and helpful advice we received from David prior to traveling to Costa Rica. The gracious hospitality continued once we arrived at the beautiful home and met with Javier, the property manager. The house was perfect for our large group with several families that traveled to celebrate graduations! Everyone had their own suite…and were so happy! Plenty of bathrooms and space to move around. The rooftop was a favorite place to gather and enjoy the beautiful ocean view, hangout with the iguanas, see the macaws fly by every day and visit the resident juvenile sloth on the back hill. I think we even saw lemurs in the tree one afternoon on the hillside! The pool was a perfect way to cool down each day after being in the ocean. Some of our family’s highlights included fishing with William where our ‘fisherman’ caught 15 mackerels…enough fish to feed all of us for 3 nights plus giving fish to William and Javi! Our ceviche was the best. :) Javier traveled with us on a (must do!) monkey boat ride through the river ways and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Manuel Antonio. The was just a short walk from the condos and nice for boogie boarding, surfing and family soccer games. David recommended surfboard rentals from Brett, who had everything we needed and was super nice to work with. At the home, a huge pantry and kitchen with all necessities for cooking (on every floor), a nice gas grill as well as a couple of trips to Masxmenos grocery store in Jaco enabled a full week of in-house meals, saving a lot of money for our large group. It was also very helpful to have washers/dryers on every floor of the home, as we were able to pack less clothes and return home with suitcases full of clean ones! We would highly recommend this home to families traveling. We felt safe and cared for by Javier. If we needed anything, he was just a quick text away and super helpful. Thank you David and Javier for making our Summer 2019 one to remember! Pura Vida!!

Esterillos Oeste was wonderful!


We had a wonderful time on our family vacation to Esterillos! This was our first time in Costa Rica, so we were not sure what to expect, but it was great! We have a large family, 17 of us from ages 3-50 and the home was perfect for us. Everything was as advertised, and the views are amazing!

A piece of heaven!


Wow, where do I start? This house is incredible! We rented the whole home for our group of 15 and it was perfect. All rooms and bathrooms are so spacious. We were pleasantly surprised with how big the showers are. They\'re huge! We had hot water the whole time and zero issues with the wifi. The beds were extremely comfortable and eveyone raved about how well they slept. Every bedroom and living area has A/C which was really nice when coming in from a warm day. The rooftop penthouse was out of this world and the pool was a perfect place to spend time with our family and friends. Another plus of this home is the security. You truly feel safe and we were so grateful for that. Javier was awesome. He constantly checked on us and assured if there were any issues, he would gladly handle right away. The area around the home was beautiful. We felt we were with locals instead of a busy tourist city which was so nice because that\'s how we wanted to experience Costa Rica. We liked how local we were but also close it was to get to Jaco (15 min) or Manuel Antonio (45 min). This home was the center of our trip, the place we spent the most time, and we are ao grateful we chose this home because it was truly perfect. It felt like waking up to a piece of heaven every morning. Thank you Dave, Josie, and Javier for the incredible hospitality, all the informarion you constantly provided, and the recommendations you gave. We had a trip of a lifetime! Pura Vida!

Had a GREAT time!


Even prior to our arrival, the owner, Dave, was very helpful and informative. Upon our arrival, Javier, the property manager, was attentive and accommodating. Onsite keypads made room access convenient and keyed wrought-iron gates secured all exterior access points. The home was tastefully decorated, very clean, comfortable and contained all the modern convenience of home. The hilltop views were stunning. We were traveling with 7 other couples (16 people total) for 7 days. Our large group was BEYOND accomodated. There was plenty of room to spread out and the layout made it possible to congregate as a group or have private time, if preferred. The pool area on the top floor was a group favorite. We opted for chef service for breakfast and dinner for most of our stay. It was very convenient and affordable and the ladies went above and beyond to make our Valentine\'s vacay special and memorable! The home is walking distance to the beach and about 30 minutes away from Jaco which was a nice day trip. We are definitely hard to please clients and I must say I am very impressed! I highly recommend this property, particularly for large groups.
