This quaint cottage sits on a wooded island on one of West Michigan's largest and most prestigious lakes-Gull Lake. The lake is approximately 35 miles around and twenty acres; dotted with multimillion dollar homes. It is a deep lake and one of the cleanest with great fishing of all types of fish. All water sports are allowed on the lake. There are boat and water sport rentals on the lake at the marina. A sturdy walk bridge strung with rope lighting takes you from the mainland where you can park, to this private piece of paradise.You enter through one of two porches and are greeted by the feel of a cabin in the mountains with a stone fireplace(for decor only), knotty pine and cathedral ceilings. A master bedroom with a king bed is on the first floor and a spiral staircase takes you to the second floor where there are two brightly decorated bedrooms-one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. you have your own private dock with a lounging platform at the end. The house is fully equipped with all cooking needs,, grill, firepit(for evening get together and s'mores). The cottage was remodeled in 2015 with Italian terrazzo tile throughout and remodeled bathroom.You walk and swim in the lakes warm water and solid sandy beach. If you bring your boat, the local boat hangout at the 'sandbar' is not far from the island. If you want to sightseeing, there is always the Kellogg Bird sanctuary, Gilmore car museum, Battle Creek air balloon festival, Kalamazoo's air museum, Kalamazoo's ongoing summer festivals, art on the mall, music festivals and many other local activities; but you probably won't want to leave your own little private piece of paradise. There are two golf courses at Gull Lake including the prestigious Gull Lake Country.
 
Club The cottage can also be rented for newlyweds. We decorate in a special way for a special time for a special couple.

I was born and raised on Lake Michigan in the vacation town of South Haven. Many of my childhood days were spent with my buddies on the beach from sun up to sun down. I think I learned to swim before I learned to walk. Water and the beach have always been an extemely important part of my life; so much that my husband and I have purchased over the years vacation properties at several unique and desirable locations. I would like others to feel the love of the season and the wonderful lakes Michigan has. I've retired from education and make decorating and renting my fulltime job.
