This STAND ALONE, VERY CHARMING, cottage is in a very peaceful setting with huge brick courtyard & tropical gardens. 50 second stroll to beach with peak of gulf from kitchen and private outdoor sitting area. This is not like most other vacation rentals on Anna Maria Island that are elevated & require you to climb 1-2 or even 3 stories. This is a stand alone ground level home!  
 
We have recently invested in a total remodel i.e., new kitchen, bathroom, lanai, living area and bedrooms. Remodel includes; new granite counters. New Whirlpool dishwasher. New full size smooth top Kenmore Stove/oven. New kitchen stainless sink & new faucets. New soaking tub, sinks, faucets, lights, Italian tile, in Bathroom. Designer decor throughout. High end beds & mattresses. Upgraded refrig/freezer. Virtually every  kitchen tool, like home, making Kitchen fully stocked. Everything is MINT, MINT, MINT!
 
Entire home has tile floors in every room including lanai! 
 
Screened lanai with sliding glass screened windows with one way glass for ultimate privacy and great for letting in the fresh air on those dry cool winter days.
 
Rate includes unlimited calling anywhere in USA & Canada, Wi-Fi, Digital cable, 46 plasma TV & flat screen in bedroom. 
 
We are located on most sought after and narrow part of island. You will love our white powder sand beach just around 50 second walk away. Peak of Gulf from kitchen. Enjoy turquoise crystal clear ocean water! Walk along the beach just a short way and stop at the great restaurants & live entertainment right on the water. If you like fishing, we have a dock just about 40 seconds walk away too. We even provide fishing gear! Where else can you go on vacation and watch sunrise and sunset within about 1 minute stroll in either direction?!
 
If you like going for walks, there is a marvelous paved trail across our street that goes for about 2 miles, or so, along the beach. This is a great paved boardwalk to walk or bike along every day especially around sun set! The trail is covered by weeping pines & palms and views of beach from trail is simply breathtaking. 
 
Just a quick walk down the road is The Coquina Baywalk at Leffis key where you will enjoy acres of boardwalks built along the Bay. Spectacular scenery. Coquina beach FREE amenities include; changing rooms, bathrooms, lifeguards, beach volleyball, outdoor exercise area, two playgrounds, fishing from jetties, open markets twice weekly, beachfront cafe...Wow! It's no wonder this beach has been voted to top 10 in USA!
 
You will enjoy a wide variety of restaurants all within walking distance incl our favorites on the Pier. Last time eating out on the pier we saw 3 dolphins & a Manatee! 
 
Our charming stand alone cottage has two bedrms. Sleeps 4 Also has a queen sleep sofa in case one of the 4 prefers to use it over the comfy memory foam beds. There's a big full bathroom. Unlike most rentals with just a shower, this has shower and soaking tub combo. Big enclosed lanai with huge sliding glass screened windows. Living area. Kitchen. Unique extras include; memory foam mattresses. The best nights sleep so you can spend more time enjoying the day! Large closets including custom cedar closet in 1 bedrm. 
 
We provide everything including beach chairs and towels. You need only bring your tooth brushes & flip flops. All windows including Lanai have new white blinds. Lanai has new comfortable dining set. My wife does all the interior decorating. She has a flare for making everything look so bright & beachy. 
 
The furniture in this home has a real beachy local flare. Unlike other owners who rent from a thousand miles away, & have a Realtor or Management company handling rentals, we live nearby most of the year and own property. If you ever have a question or concern we respond promptly. Sadly, most vacation properties are run by Management companies or Realtors. Many of these companies have so many accounts its easy for them to treat guests like a number. Have peace of mind when you rent from us knowing we are very caring and do our utmost to ensure you have a best possible vacation and come back again! Most of our guests return which says a lot about the service we provide before, during, and after our guests arrive. Don't take our word for it, read our reviews. For the health conscious, we have installed a $3000 water filtration system. Unlike other vacation rentals on the island that use public water which is heavily treated with CHLORINE and other chemicals our filtration system filters all this out. So, when you bathe, cook or, drink, know that you have the purest and perhaps the only chemical free water on the island! Not only is this healthier in every regard but, women will notice that their hair is fuller and skin is softer after washing as their are no chemicals to make the hair limp or to dry out skin!

Anna Maria Island 
 
Anna Maria island is just seven miles long and is made up of 3 small cities: Bradenton Beach, 
 
Holmes Beach, & Anna Maria at the north. No matter which direction you come, you must cross water via a bridge. At the southern tip is the most sought after area of Bradenton Beach. You can head north from Sarasota travel on to Longboat Key and cross over a draw bridge on to Bradenton Beach. There are also two other draw bridges from the main land of Bradenton to come onto Anna Maria island. One way is via Manatee Avenue (SR 64 ) & the other is via Cortez Road. 
 
Kids of all ages would enjoy a visit to Bradenton Beach to see the manatee. If you don't see them from our dock or jetties on beach you can visit nearby world renowned Mote aquarium. The area of Manatee/Sarasota counties also has great off shore fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, golfing, tennis, shopping, museums, & art galleries to explore. 
 
Be sure to observe all the turtle watch rules as the Ridley turtles are building nests from early May & baby turtles are hatching on our beaches. You might even go on a turtle watch tour with our local turtle lady. Look in the paper for her schedule.
 
The entire island of Anna Maria has many reasonably priced award winning restaurants.I.e., the Sign of the Mermaid Restaurant has not only delicious food as in breakfast, lunch, but the owner is a triple time National Pie contest winner. Be sure and stop by. 
 
Of course, check out the local newspaper for the latest events about the island. The A.M.I. SUN is just one. It's free & had lots of info you can use on current happenings. 
 
Holmes Beach is famous for the Beach Cafe, Skinny's a small local hamburger, hotdog storefront plus along Gulf Drive you will locate the island grocery store, Publix and several island strip centers with your last minute beach items such as snacks, lotions, toys, rentals, etc. 
 
OFF THE ISLAND 
Mote Science Lab is just a short drive off the island and on to Longboat Key just a few miles to the south. Both you and your kids will enjoy a visit to this 'hands on' science stop. This is where many of the rescued injured animals, occasional birds, turtles, etc are taken to recuperate and then are returned to nature. 
 
ESPECIALLY for kids:
G WIZ is located in Sarasota near the VanWizzel a block off of Tamiami. This is a state of the art Science hands on museum. Well worth the visit. Check it out on line to see what they are featuring. Call for cost.
 
Day trips:
Disneyworld, Epcot Center, the Everglades, visit close by Sarasota (the cultural center of Florida) with the Ringling Museum, Saint Armand's, and much more!
 
It's just a 15 minute drive to St. Armands circle. Designer shops and world renowned restaurants just a few examples of what you will experience.

My wife and I own this lovely cottage. We fell in love with its charm. Its rare to find a cute stand alone vacation rental that is not 2 or 3 stories high. This rental has only two or three steps! Everything in this unit is like new and always immaculately cleaned. Its located in the most sought after and narrow part of island where you can walk about 50 seconds to beach in one direction and about 40 seconds to our fishing dock on bay. We know you have lots of choices for your vacation and we hope you will choose this rental for your next vacation. Once you do, we think youll want to come back as over half of our guests do!.

Phenomenal host


Mark was amazing! He was on vacation in Italy but still called back immediately when I lost the check in instructions and emailed them again. Later during our stay my 5 year old managed to Lock one of the bedrooms from the inside. We were freaking out, but he answered us from Italy, probably 11 PM or later his time, and walked us through how to unlock the door. The housekeeper was so helpful and sweet. The place was gorgeous. Literally half a block from the gulf and 100 yards from a pier leading Into the bay. It was a perfect spot to sit and sip coffee whole watching the sunrise. They had tons of beach equipment, and even an outdoor shower to rinse off with before coming on. Washer and dryer onsite helped keep wet clothes clean. Plenty of cooking supplies and utensils made it super each to cook meals in. The breakfast nook was amazing!! The beds were clean and comfortable. Loved the decor and everything about it. One of the nicest, if not the nicest, places we have ever stayed. Also great loacation...only 3 blocks from Bridge St, which had a pier with boat rentals, tons of shops, breakfast places, miniature golf, tiki huts with live music and great food, and an amazing ice cream shop! There is also a 3 mile running/bike path.

In the heart of the Island.


We really enjoyed our stay. We were hoping for a quiet vacation spot but yet close to the beach & marinas, restaurants & fishing piers. We had it all! The house is a stand alone so very private & quiet. The central air unit kept the house cool while the water purifier made the water free of chemicals & tastes better, made the coffee great tasting. Talk about clean this house was spotless. We really appreciated the fresh clean home to stay in! Big roomy comfy beds, plenty of privacy & tv’s to watch different programs. The house was fully stocked, the owner thought of everything a person needed! The outside patio was so beautiful. The plants, flowers & trees make a tropical paradise. Really, like walking through a nursery. I was amazed! We made plenty of use of the gas grill in the evening. Or a short walk to restaurants for the island cuisine. We took a plethora of gorgeous pictures of the beach, sunsets etc. This is our 2nd stay at Bradenton Beach & by far the best place to stay! Thanks to our host for all his wonderful suggestions of fishing & restaurants! We definitely want to come back!
