If you’re interested in exploring the “green” side of the Green Mountain State, this solar-powered geodesic dome is a completely different Vermont experience. Of course, you’ll still have privacy and the quiet serenity of nature surrounding you. Four downhill ski areas will still be within a forty-minute drive, and the Craftsbury Nordic Center will be ten minutes away with its miles of cross-country skiing.
 
In the summer, you’ll be a short distance from lakes, rivers, the Canadian border, seven golf courses, the Long Trail for hiking, road biking, mountain biking, fishing, boating, and any outdoor sport you can imagine. Stowe, St. Johnsbury, and Newport, Vermont are all just a short drive away.

A Magical Dome


This trip was exactly what we needed. We were looking for a place to unplug and get emerged in nature. Bill was an excellent host and easy to communicate with. He made us feel welcomed every step of the way. The home is gorgeous and unique. All the amenities were exactly as listed. My favorite star was gazing and the stars. You can easily make out Orions Belt, bow and the bull! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun time.

Its a 10 out of 10 hands down!


It is a very nice place to get away from it all. Located half way between Stowe, Newport, Jay, and Troy it is in a perfect spot. The house was clean and quite roomy for a round house. The water was filtered so you can drink it. The views that you have are amazing, in the early morning and when the sun goes down at night. The stars are bright and by 10 pm you can see the Milky Way. Quiet, very green trees all around you. Yes I would re-rent this property if I go back to Vermont again. The only downside to this ... I had to leave to go back to work.

Spectacular spot!


The amazing solar dome is, indeed, amazing! We enjoyed everything about our stay... the property, the wonderful hosts, the house itself. It really could not have been a better family getaway in the mountains of Vermont. The Northeast Kingdom is beautiful and this is a great place to explore the surrounding beauty. Bill is a knowledgeable and responsive host. We highly recommend this wonderful place!

Spacious and unique property in Vermont


We really enjoyed staying at the Solar Dome for a weekend getaway while our son attended day camp nearby. There was plenty of room for our whole family (including our small dog), and we especially enjoyed being surrounded by nature (we saw fireflies and heard owls). Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was well appointed for the cooking we did at the property. We will definitely hope to return in the future!

Awesome dome!


We had a blast. The dome was clean, owners pleasant. We are planning to return later in the summer/fall as soon as I get the time approved. My dogs came home exhausted from playing outside so much.
