Description

Mariner's View  is located next to Stone's owning both properties enables us to offer our guests the option of a 14 bdrm stay experience to comfortably accommodate up to 34 for family gatherings or corporate events.

The location is convenient yet private. Located 125 yards from main street downtown, 1/2 mile to the area's grocery store, and a 1/4 mile from the marina and public boat ramp.

The house offers a panoramic view of Douglas Lake with the three highest peaks of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in the background, and a back yard that extends down to the lake. The back deck and patio are great areas to entertain a large group or just relax with a book and take in the view.

Dandridge is a mix of old and new, we have tried to accomplish the same at Mariner's View. Our goal was to keep the charm of this 1930's home with all the modern amenities to create a truly special place. There are three large gathering areas for entertaining, two kitchens, a 1,200 sq ft patio area (520 sq ft of the patio is covered), and a 550 sq ft deck off the living room area.

The home offers seven bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 17 and 5 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. The home has two master suite bedrooms with en-suite baths. The entire home has been professionally decorated with many luxury upgrades.

For the chef, the kitchen is well equipped with new and convenient appliances and cookware. There is plenty of capacity with two ranges and two refrigerators.

The best Mariner's View has to offer is the inner peace and joy you'll experience seating on the deck or patio watching the birds catch their lunch, the occasional deer and turkey grazing, or maybe a glimpse of bald eagles that nest in the area. We hope you visit us and experience the unique qualities of the Great Smokey Mountains, Douglas Lake, and historic Dandridge at Mariner's View.

  • Kent Maples

Our family is from East Tennessee. We live just 20 minutes from Stone's View. We stay there often, and continually look for ways to upgrade and enhance our guest's stay.
Kent Maples purchased this House in 2012
Why Kent Maples chose Dandridge
Dandridge exemplifies small town USA; it has a proud, unique historic past and is protective of its heritage. My wife and I love to take walks; we're entertained by the cities nuances and in awe of the lakes natural beauty.
We find it very convenient to have two marinas within 1.5 miles to rent various kinds of boats and accessories. The public boat ramp is less than a mile away for those who have their own water craft.
What makes this House unique
The view captured our interest in Stone's View. If it's having your morning coffee and seeing the sunrise or having an evening cocktail with a special someone watching the sunset, you'll be sure to create memorable moments taking in the view.

Smokey Mountain Vacation

With our kids and grand-kids, our family spent a week at the house as part of a Smokey Mountain vacation. The house was very spacious for our fifteen family members and was in virtually brand new condition. Kent met us at check-in to answer any questions and was very responsive during our stay. Would highly recommend to large families looking for a quiet retreat, close to a lot of fun sightseeing and lake activities.

4th of July vacation

We had a wonderful time. The house was great and the lake was delightful. I would recommend this house to anyone who has a large group.

LOVELY HOME, PERFECT HOME FOR A LARGE FAMILY

Our family came from Alabama, Georgia and Virginia for a vacation. My mom was nervous when she googled the address and it showed a small home (she didn\'t think we would have enough room) but the home has recently been renovated and the VRBO pictures are accurate. The home was clean and well furnished. We cooked a full holiday dinner and the only thing missing was a mixer. We enjoyed going to the Douglas Dam and Bush\'s Beans. We ate at Taste of Dandridge and it was good. Toro Mexican Grill was not our favorite. We wanted to go to the soda fountain at the drug store but they aren\'t open Saturday or Sunday. We loved the fire pit on the first night but it ran out of gas. We went to Food City and got a new tank, hooked it up but didn\'t have time to use it before we left. The owner was very helpful and pleasant, responded quickly to messages. Check in time is 4pm and the cleaners were still there when I arrived at 4:45pm. I think they must have been rushed because there were clothes left in one of the dressers and most of the towels were damp and musty. Not a big deal at all, we just didn\'t use the dresser and we washed and dried all the towels in the washer/dryer downstairs. I would definitely recommend this home and this owner to anyone... you won\'t be disappointed!

Great large family vacation house

We filled the house with four generations. Marina, grocery and pizza all close by. Pigeon Forge was an easy drive. Wonderful week making memories.

Awesome house and fantastic views from the large and multiple decks.

June 2018 stay in this large and comfy house. We had 10 people and a family downstairs and had plenty of room. Kent the owner/housekeeper and greeter was awesome. Could see the marina and my boat from the house to ease my mind. Highly recommend. Jim
