Puerto Rico, the ‘Enchanted Island’ we so fell in love with that we found this lovely and unique apartment as a holiday home for ourselves and others! This apartment is part of a very well maintained building which shares a fantastic roof terrace with a Jacuzzi, shaded relaxing area and hammocks. There, you can enjoy the sun, the sea breeze and panoramic views of El Junque mountains behind and the sea -  a wonderful place to relax after a day of adventure, as well as the large balcony the apartment provides.
 
This lovely, attractively decorated condo takes less than 5 minutes to walk straight down the road to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is so near, but away from the loud sounds of the seafront festivities in the evening – a perfect location. The apartment has two bedrooms – one with a king size bed, one a queen and both with extremely good quality comfortable mattresses. It is a large, spacious, peaceful apartment with all amenities in our fully equipped kitchen/living room that you would need for a relaxing stay including a brand new:

There are two parking spaces for this apartment. The property is gated and secure, being extremely well maintained by the management. There is an outdoor shower near the exit gate in the parking area under the building. Access to the apartment can be up the stairs or using the large elevator.
 
Luquillo boasts some of the best beaches in the world. Within walking distance of the apartment we have la Pared surfing beach, the Playa Azul beach, a snorkelling reef and a beautiful secluded still and safe area for little ones to enjoy which leads to the famous Balneario. The Balneario de Luquillo is a mile-long stretch of sand with a backdrop of huge palm trees and El Junque in the distance.  The sea here is divine – a huge clear sea swimming pool. This bay is where you’ll find the Kioskos – 30 - 40 restaurants/bars where you can eat some of the best food in Puerto Rico! The Kioskos are at the beach and also accessible by car, only two minutes away from the condo on Rte 3. Within walking distance of our condo are some good bars, restaurants, a great coffee shop, a good size supermarket a Walgreens, a Bank, fast food places – everything you need.
 
Luquillo is an easy 30- 40 minute drive from the airport. Ideally one would rent a car to get everywhere and explore the island. Just a 15 minute drive from Luquillo and you are in El Junque Rainforest with its truly magnificent scenery, vegetation, waterfalls and walks. Fajardo, just 15- 20 minutes away further east is a little port town with boat and ferry trips one can take to exotically beautiful islands like La Culebra (exquisite beaches), Vieques, El Codillera Nature Reserve (see  for great information). Old San Juan near the airport and just a 30-40 minute drive from Luquillo is definitely worth seeing for the Fort, the beauty of this colourful old city with great shops, restaurants/cafes, music, art and culture.
 
Near Fajardo is the famous Bioluminescent Bay which is one of only three in the whole world. A natural wonder totally worth seeing in a night-time kayak trip! Other activities available nearby to do here in Puerto Rico are horse-back riding, zip-lining, go-carts and 4-wheelers, one-day fishing trips, golfing and casinos at the famous El Conqistador and the Wyndham Rio Mar resorts. Plan well ahead for your trip to get the most out of this magical island!

We are an English/American family who love traveling when time permits! Of all the places we have been over the last 10 years, Puerto Rico won our hearts. We plan to retire there one day. My husband is a contractor and I am a teacher. We live with our two boys in New Orleans, US.

We did the research and looked at many properties Puerto Rico to invest in a place by the sea in the Carribean, and realized that Luquillo was an ideal place because of its' location in relation to San Juan, Fajardo and the El Junque Rainforest. Moreover, the beaches on this side of the island are gorgeous plus the latin life the Spanish language, the music, salsa dancing, and the food culture, are a big appeal to us. It is a happy, friendly culture here.
What makes this Apartment unique
For us, the big appeal of this particular apartment was its' distance from the sea - very close, but just set back enough not to be disturbed by happy, but loud partying which can be happening some evenings on the seafront. The wind and sea can even be too loud! This place gave us the choice to be there at the seafront whenever we like, yet retire to the peace of the apartment when we like.

Spring Break 2019


Our two Seniors really enjoyed staying here to kick off our Spring Break family vacation before getting on a cruise in San Juan. Plenty of space for the four of us, close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. Cute hot tub and hammock area upstairs. Definitely would recommend it to others!

Great condo! Great location!


The condo was bigger than I expected with everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, fans and air conditioning in every room. The condo is also in a fantastic location that’s close to so many activities for all ages!! I’m just sad we didn’t stay longer! wish we had stayed longer


property fine, the electricity did go out one night but came back early in morning. THis was right before Dorian and perhaps there was some testing. The property is located in excellent spot: near to BioBay and El Yunque, both of which we loved. Went w/ my daughter. We both agreed that we should have stayed one more day and enjoyed the beach more, the water was amazing.

This condo is awesome, very clean and good security. The location is key if your looking to hike the rain forest or kayak the bio bay. Christine was so helpful and instrumental to finding some wonderful places including a natural waterfall rock slide.

Just the perfect holiday!


We really needed this vacation and were so happy to find this gorgeous place. It is actually nicer than the photos! What we really liked was that it was so close to the beach and all amenities yet so much quieter than the beachfront area and the apartment has a lovely peaceful feel to it. Beautifully decorated. Tanya was very nice to deal with and sent us great information before our stay which helped a lot, and Christine was wonderful too and gave us lots of other tips from a locals point of view. The apartment had everything we needed. We bought a couple of boogie boards and left them on the balcony for other people to use ! Our favorite place was the walk from Luquillo beach to El Balanario - we felt we were in heaven and then some when we found the little kiosk set back a little with fresh Pina Coladas. Will come back again for sure.

Quiet, clean and close to everything!


This Condo has everything you need to enjoy the best Puerto Rican holiday! Just a 5 min walk from the best beach and a great restaurant. The condo is clean and comfortable. The CoQuis (frogs) outside were enjoyable to listen to at night. This is the first time I have booked a home away to stay for vacation and was hesitant but am so happy I did. I was greeted when I arrived by Christine who is so friendly and helpful. I was sent an E-mail before I left to inform me of the directions how to get there from the airport. Also a whole packet of what to do while I was visiting Laquillo. The beds are comfortable, the shower is clean and a nice kitchen if you want to cook. The air conditioning works great and only took minutes to cool the room after we returned from our adventures for the day. (they ask that you don\'t leave them running while you are gone to conserve. We enjoyed the rooftop hot tub too ( too much chlorine though) Since I was there during low season I only saw one other family in the whole complex which really made it feel like my own place. This Condo is centrally located to the ferry/or airport to Vieques for Biobay and the best beaches I have ever been to. The Rain forest for hiking and zip lining is just 10 min away. The Kioskos ( a must) for shopping and great food is also walking distance of about 20 min on the beach. Thank you Tanya for making available such a nice place.

Clean, roomy, and convenient to the beach, local restaurants, and the town center.


Found the apartment in good order and well set up with the necessities. Caretaker very helpful and informative. Safe private, off-street parking in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for the four of us with kitchen and laundry facilities. Would certainly go back.

Great apartment in a fantastic location


We had a wonderful 10 nights in this wonderful apartment and are already looking forward to staying again. Tanya was a fantastic host and extremely easy to contact about any questions we might have. We came with our 19 month old baby and she went out of her way to make sure everything was as easy as possible for us. We loved the area and it\'s only a couple of minutes away from a very baby friendly, lovely beach. There are lots of food options in the area and Tanya can certainly help with any recommendations as well. We can\'t wait to come back

Great place!!!


Really enjoyed staying here!!! This was my 17th time to the island and by far one of the better places I\'ve stayed. We were centrally located between everything. Close enough to walk to the beach and the kioskos. Christine was also very knowledgeable about the island, if you aren\'t familiar. Would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!!

Nice & roomy!


We had a wonderful stay in this condo. We felt very safe here! Chris met us to give us the keys & gate opener & gave us lots of suggestions for where to go for the best shopping, dining, hiking, & swimming places. The condo was very clean & had some food staples (like some very tasty PR coffee!) to get us started on our 6 day stay. The letter we received from Tanya was nicely put together to make our stay full of wonderful experiences. We will definitely refer our friends & hope that we can book this place again when we come back!

Very spacious and luxury apartment!


Very large two bedrooms apartment, very well furnished and very clean and quiet. A large terrace where you can sip a drink surrounded by tropical trees. Modern AC in each room! The 2 large bedrooms are very comfortable, one with a \"royal bed\"! Recently furnished, this flat offers you all the confort you need! You can walk to beaches (playa Azul, few minutes away and a wonderfull stroll to the magnifiscent balneario Montserrate...). You can also walk miles of isolated strand of sand beyond La Pared beach. Supermarket and all facilities are just across main road! You also dispose a covered parking lot. None the least of all, Christine very kindly welcomes you, moreover she\'s available and timely! Tanya is rightly helpfull when mailing with her! Thanks for everything! We do recommand this rental for a nice stay in PR close to airport and San Juan.
