Description

Overlooking Lake Arenal, this fully furnished custom home features a master bedroom on the main floor with 1.5 baths, laundry, living room, eat-in kitchen and 2 covered porches, front and rear. The full sized kitchen is finished with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and handcrafted hardwood cabinets. The terrace level has an open staircase descending to bedrooms 2 and 3 with a full bath and a fully covered porch accessible from either bedroom.
 
Casa Del Lago takes full advantage of an incredible jungle canopy view surrounded by the lake and rolling hills. Birds and wildlife can be observed from the numerous spacious terraces and howler monkeys can be heard as they make their way through the canopy around the lake.
 
Conveniently located on Lake Arenal, a short drive (5-10 min.) to Nuevo Arenal for groceries and any other necessities.  Easy access to countless nature and adventure tours nearby (La Fortuna 45 min. drive), tailor your own adventure package or take advantage of the numerous guided tours.

cute and cozy!


The house was beautiful with great views just as described. Property manager provided great instructions that made it easy to find. Check in was smooth and easy. Guards were nice and helpful. Beds were not very comfortable though and there was a lot of dust and cobwebs throughout the house but overall would highly recommend. Our favorite house we stayed in Costa Rica and we stayed at three.

Great house in the Nuevo Arenal area


Some of the best bird watching in CR right off the deck! The house is set up very nicely with The master, ensuite, kitchen, 1/2 bath, living and dining all on the main floor. Excellent privacy for guests with 2 bedrooms and bath on the lower floor. The trees off the deck on the right make this house exceptional. I think every bird in the valley stops there at some point during the day. Every day we saw toucans, aracaris, parrots, chachalacas, orependolas, honeycreepers, tanagers, guans, etc. The howlers and pizotes added to the fun. The property manager Mike was great to deal with. Walking distance to Aguacate which has a really nice restaurant EL Corral, and a surprisingly well stocked little store. You do need a car, but if you’re in that area, you are going to want to drive and explore the mountains, lake, volcanos and waterfalls. Highly recommended for the Lake Arenal area.

Beautiful, relaxing and comfortable


We absolutely loved this property.....Beautiful location and home. We watched howler monkeys and toucan from the deck, and were easily able to day trip to multiple national parks for hiking. The property manager Mike gave us wonderful advice for restaurants/sites. Would absolutely stay again.

Home is exactly as described, very nice, comfortable and reasonably priced for the accommodations.


The house is very nice, very well stocked kitchen, appliances, furniture, etc. Beautiful property, and met our needs as being sufficiently central to the multiple destinations that we traveled. Do note that the sidewalk to the area below the house is extremely treacherous in damp conditions, just walk off to the side when wet. Mike (the US/English speaking gentleman that meets you to let you in) was very helpful sharing his intelligence on the area, restaurants, etc. He lives right up the road, so is close by and timely as needed. We had a great stay and vacation.

Everything promised and more.


We had a great time at the Lake House. The accommodations were wonderful. The house is well put together, nicely furnished and it has generous amenities. This is really someone\'s home that you can rent instead of it just being a rental. The owners and the manager were always attentive to our questions and we had an easy time getting in and getting acquainted. We enjoyed the pool and the sunsets whenever possible. The only thing we would change about our stay was the weather but that is what you get for a rainy October. Thank you very much!!
