Description

This cozy, centrally located cabin is nestled in the pine trees, with a trout stream (kayakable) that empties into Grand Lake out the back door.  The cabin sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms (a queen size bed in one, a full size bed in the other with electric mattress pads and down comforters!), while the living area has two rocking recliners and a queen size sofabed couch with a memory foam mattress. It is well-appointed with a modern kitchen (refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, oven/range, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker). Wood paneled walls and ceilings with wood floors throughout. Dining table seats 4 (6 with leaf) with 4 more places at the breakfast bar. Bathroom with tub/shower and cable tv in living room.  Cozy up with the gas stove while enjoying the views of the mountains, lake and stream through the large windows on 3 sides. Keep an eye out for the neighborhood fox and moose!

Year round you can enjoy downtown Grand Lake with shopping, restaurants and entertainment, antiquing, live musical theater in Grand Lake, museums, and nearby fitness center, health/beauty spa, and basketball.  And, of course, wildlife viewing (esp., moose, elk, deer, fox).

Summer visitors can enjoy boating, rafting, kayaking, sailing, water-skiing, lake swimming, fishing, golf, tennis, biking, mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, hunting, rock climbing, horseshoes, miniature golf, horseback riding, and hot air ballooning.  And the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater has a great summer schedule of Broadway musicals.  So much to do...so little time!

Snowmobilers can sled in/sled out (snow permitting) to enjoy the snowmobile capital of Colorado, with over 100 miles of trails.  Grand Lake is at the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park with cross country skiing and snowshoe trails galore.  World class downhill skiing and snowboarding at Winter Park only 35 miles away and Steamboat Springs 93 miles down the road, with Sol Vista, a small local ski hill, just outside Granby, about 15 miles. Or enjoy the hot springs at Hot Sulphur Springs, a mere 23 miles from town. Or stay in the area and enjoy the many activities at Rocky Mountain National Park and in town during the winter, especially during Christmas and New Year's.  Don't miss the holiday show at the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater and the New Year's Eve celebration with frozen fireworks.

Come enjoy the crisp, clean air, beautiful starry nights, and majestic views of Grand Lake and Mount Baldy at our little slice of heaven.  (please, no pets and no smoking!)
