For those who enjoy outdoor adventure, the Stann Creek region, where the Placencia Peninsula is located, offers a host of activities: hiking through mountainous rain forests, kayaking, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, diving and exploring Mayan ruins.
Via Belize City International Airport (BZE). From BZE most visitors fly on local air services (Maya or Tropical), which our concierge staff will reserve on your behalf if you provide your international air itinerary with them. (There is no fee for this service, compliments of Chabil Mar for our guests). This is a one-half hour flight. Other options: Rent a car and take a beautiful drive across south from BZE over and through the beautiful Maya Mountain range. View Maya and Garifuna Village and Towns, sometimes Mennonites about their daily lives. This is a 3 hour drive. Hire a Driver/Van Service. Our Concierge will be happy to make these arrangements on your behalf. (This is also a complimentary service from Chabil Mar for our guests.)
