Description

Eleni’s Stately Home has been built with great care on the family’s home grounds. It is a destination which combines the class of a renovated mansion and the dreamy environment of the village.

This summer turn away from the busy touristy places in exchange for a quiet retreat, where you will have a chance to meet with the locals, who still live their traditional lives. Stress of daily life, traffic and tension are instantly replaced by serenity and a pace that will send you back in time to a forgotten life revolving around relaxation. Here, you’ll have a unique experience that enriches body and soul. Gaze upon the wide horizon, breath the fresh country air perfumed with the scent of wild growing herbs and relax among colours and perfumes…

Layout

The size and space arrangement of Eleni’s Stately Home, make it ideal for big families or groups of friends, as it can accommodate up to nine people, while its design ensures total privacy and comfort!

Outside Area
The serenity of the village makes the high walls that surround this property fairly unnecessary, but to guarantee the utmost privacy, it features a romantic and spacious courtyard of outstanding beauty, hidden from the sight of anyone passing by.

In Eleni’s Stately Home you most certainly enjoy staying outdoors! This truly beautiful house has an amazing 30m2 and 1.4 meters deep swimming pool, which dares you to refresh yourself anytime you wish and offers peacefulness and calmness.

Furthermore, beautiful flowers make the terrace even more appealing and the surrounding big trees offer shade during the mid day heat.

The ample outdoors sitting and dining areas and barbecue facilities at the terrace provoke you to avoid the interiors and try al fresco dining! Also, a small garden inside the property, provides fresh organic vegetables for your meals!

From the courtyard, an external stone-built staircase leads to a decent sized terrace on the upper floor. A wooden pergola offers partial shade and a small arrangement of garden furniture allows guests to retreat from the rest of the group, if preferred.

Ground Floor
The ground floor of the villa is L-shaped. Entering the villa, you’ll see the fully equipped, open plan kitchen with the adjacent dining area. Moving on, you’ll meet the living room area with its open fireplace, which creates a unique atmosphere. On this level you’ll find one double and one twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms of the ground floor have doors that offer direct access to and from the back of the courtyard, providing privacy and undisturbed sleep for all parties.

First Floor
From the terrace, guests enter the open plan living area that consists of a small -but very tastefully decorated and fully equipped- kitchen, a dining table for four guests and another bathroom. The living room area consists of two comfortable sofa beds and a lovely loft-type bedroom with a double bed.

Thank you Episkopi

A lovely village with such friendly characters, especially Father Michael, Matteus, Ozzie John and Nikki. But special mention goes to Anastasia with her delicious food, helpful advice, and beaming smile. Thank you all. The house was a bit more basic than we expected, the pool slightly smaller than we would have liked, and it would have been helpful to have had an information book on how the house and village work, e.g. how often the fish man came, how often the church service occurred and where the dustbins were. Overall a great experience of Cretan village life. Thank you.

Beautiful property, with amazing house keeping and a very attentive host in Valia.

Truly beautiful location high up in the mountains. Right next door to a taverna which serves and delivers amazing food at very affordable prices. An area where time has stood still, goats with bells passing by everyday. Very private villa with high stone walls. Highly recommended.

A diamond of a find

Beautiful property, a truly authentic villa in a small village/hamlet, very quiet, a little oasis once inside the gate. We met with Valia, a lovely lady and very focused on us having a lovely time. We loved the location, a great place if you really want to see/live the Cretan life, rather than feeling like a tourist. Great property, everything you could ask for and more. We will be back Valia, thank you for treating us so well.
