Lovely friendly hotel with great views.

This was our second visit to Roberts lovely small affordable hotel. The outlook from the rooms and breakfast area are stunning. There is a lovely informal friendly atmosphere about the place. Its within walking distance of the historical English Dockyard and all the restaurants of English & Falmouth Harbour. We will definitely be back. Show less

Feeling home

Robert turned his childhood house into this little B&B an dit turned just amazing. Make you feel like you home while you away. View over harbour from breakfast balcony is just stunning. Would definitely stay here again.

Unique hotel with a fabulous view

This small hotel consists of a group of buildings scattered across the hillside overlooking English Harbour and outwards towards Shirley Heights.There\'s a small, clean swimming pool and decking with paths leading to wooden cottages, each with a balcony. The cottages are unique, sparsely furnished with an en suite (plus toiletries) and shower delivering very hot water (cold water too!).The main building acts as a breakfast area where a simple but regularly restocked fare is provided until 10.30 each day. The views from the main balcony are brilliant and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Some of the rooms adjoin this balcony and there is also an Honesty bar with very reasonable prices for all types of drinks. It is a steep climb up from the main harbour road but it takes less than ten minutes and is well lit. Parking is off road and there are several pull-off spaces close to the main gates. Surrounding the buildings are a wide variety of beautiful tropical plants and they provide privacy and a great habitat for small, colourful birds. There were a few mosquitoes at dusk but also bats keeping them at bay. The owner Robert, gives you a warm welcome and he is always available if you need help with local information, taxis, airport check-ins. We felt comfortable at all times and for security there is a safe in each room (small daily fee). For the price it is superb value for money and its view is one of the best we have ever encountered on our travels.

Great View, owner and rooms....

Heard that this B&B was a gem...and wow was it, rooms clean (basic-but who stays in a room here) Owner Robert is an example of an owner that cares for his guests. Always stopped and talked, made our reservations when needed and asked what we needed. Neat honors bar near pool to relax with a nice cold beverage and view

Peace and quiet with a gorgeous view

Had three wonderful nights here. It is the nearest thing you will find to a small hotel (11 rooms) with a swimming pool - the alternatives are self catering, large hotels or all in inclusive resorts. The view is superb, the breakfast and Robert does everything possible to make you feel at home. It is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town with a full range of restaurants. The ethos of the place is summed up by the honesty box in the bar. Could the rooms be a bit snazier (mine room 3 had a balcony with a to die for view) but then would would be talking a different price.
